I am delighted to be here at Prince of Peace. I find the people here are easy to love and a joy to serve. And they are good at welcoming visitors.

I was born and baptized in Saint Paul, Minnesota. My father and my grandfather and my great-grandfather were Lutheran ministers, and I am proud to be a fourth-generation Lutheran pastor myself. My training began in my father’s confirmation class, and continued at Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton, Wisconsin and Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin and Luther Seminary in Saint Paul.

My first church was Prince of Peace Lutheran in Houston. That is where I met my wife Donna and all five of our children were born in Texas. God has blessed us with five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

We moved to Saint Paul in 1990, and I served as one of the three pastors at Saint James Lutheran Church for thirty years. I retired in the midst of Covid, and Donna and I moved to Waco. After four years of retirement, I was called here to Prince of Peace in Taylor.

During my time at Saint James, I started collaborating with the Bible Faith Lutheran Church of India and traveled to India more than twenty times. I continue to partner with my Indian colleagues and friends via Zoom.

In my free time, I like to read and write, and I enjoy watching movies with Donna.

I used to play football and basketball, and now I enjoy watching the Green Bay Packers, the Wisconsin Badgers, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Baylor Bears, the Houston Rockets, and the Houston Astros.
